A1: The ALTR0178 is a fully adjustable universal joint spotlight (355° rotation + 90° swivel + extension rod capable), while the ALTR0180 (round grille) and ALTR0181 (square grille) are fixed non-adjustable fixtures. The ALTR0178 also offers 4 beam angles (15°/24°/36°/60°) — the only TOUR fixture with a 60° option — compared to just 24°/36° on the ALTR0180/0181.

Q2: Can the ALTR0178 be used with an extension rod? How does it work?
A2: Yes. The ALTR0178 is the only TOUR fixture designed for extension rod compatibility. The universal joint base accepts optional rod extensions (short and long variants). When installed with an extension rod, the fixture hangs below the track plane, creating a pendant-like appearance ideal for highlighting dining tables, reception desks, or gallery pedestals.

Q3: How far from the wall should the track be installed?
A3: For wall-wash or artwork accent applications, we recommend installing the track rail at least 10 cm (4 inches) away from the wall. This clearance ensures the full beam spread is achieved without shadows or obstruction, especially when using wider beam angles (36° or 60°).

Q4: What are the beam angle options, and which should I choose?
A4: The ALTR0178 offers four beam angles: 15° (ultra-narrow pinpoint accent for small objects), 24° (standard accent for medium artwork), 36° (broader accent for larger displays), and 60° (wide flood exclusive to ALTR0178 for soft ambient coverage). For wall art at 2m distance, 24° covers approximately 0.85m diameter; 36° covers ~1.3m; 60° covers ~2.3m.

Q5: Is the ALTR0178 suitable for outdoor use?
A5: No. The ALTR0178 has an IP20 rating and is strictly for indoor use. It is designed for galleries, retail, hospitality, and residential interiors.

Q6: What is the CRI and lumen output?
A6: The ALTR0178 delivers a CRI>90 (Ra≥90) with 1180lm output at 15W, providing exceptional color accuracy for artwork, merchandise, and architectural finishes.

Q7: Can the ALTR0178 be dimmed?
A7: Yes. Dimming functionality depends on the LED power supply used in your track system. When paired with a compatible dimmable 48V DC driver, the ALTR0178 supports smooth dimming for dynamic scene control.
