Q1: Can the ALTR0148 be used on the ALPHALUCE TOUR magnetic track system?
A1: No. The ALTR0148 is an AC230V mains-voltage fixture (Class I) with a built-in driver, designed for standard 3-wire/phase track systems. It is not compatible with the DC48V Class III TOUR magnetic track system. For TOUR magnetic track, please use ALTR0178–ALTR0206 series fixtures.

Q2: What are the beam angle options and how do they compare?
A2: The ALTR0148 offers four beam angles: 15° (ultra-narrow pinpoint — ideal for small objects at distance), 24° (standard accent for medium artwork), 36° (broader fill for larger displays), and 50° (wide flood for soft ambient coverage). At 2 meters distance: 15° ≈ 0.53m diameter, 24° ≈ 0.85m, 36° ≈ 1.3m, 50° ≈ 1.86m.

Q3: What is the CRI and why is it higher than other TOUR fixtures?
A3: The ALTR0148 delivers an exceptional CRI>92 (Ra≥92) — higher than the standard Ra≥90 found on other TOUR track fixtures. This superior color rendering ensures more accurate, true-to-life color reproduction for artwork, merchandise, and architectural finishes, making it ideal for galleries, museums, and high-end retail.

Q4: Is the ALTR0148 suitable for outdoor use?
A4: No. The ALTR0148 has an IP20 rating and is strictly for indoor use. It is designed for galleries, retail, hospitality, and residential interiors.

Q5: Does the ALTR0148 require an external power supply?
A5: No. Unlike the DC48V TOUR magnetic track fixtures (which require an external LED driver/power supply), the ALTR0148 has a built-in AC driver that connects directly to AC230V-50Hz mains power. Simply connect to a standard 3-wire track system.

Q6: What is the lumen output and how does it compare to the 15W models?
A6: The ALTR0148 delivers 730lm at 8W — lower output than the 15W models (1180lm) but with higher efficiency (91.25 lm/W vs. 78.7 lm/W) and a softer, more subtle light level suitable for intimate accent lighting where lower brightness is preferred.

Q7: Can the ALTR0148 be dimmed?
A7: Yes. Dimming functionality depends on the compatible dimmer and track system used with the AC mains supply. The built-in driver supports dimming when paired with appropriate phase-cut dimmers.
